Job: Deli Clerk (Yelm Highway)

Nisqually Markets, LLC is a subsidiary of Medicine Creek Enterprise Corporation, which operates retail gasoline and convenience stores in Thurston and Pierce Counties. We are growing rapidly with the much-anticipated opening of several new stores. If you are a proven team leader, with experience in food preparation and customer service, we are looking for you!

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing premier customer service
• Maintaining high standards for product freshness and sanitation
• Selecting and packaging products ordered by customers
• Filling, maintaining and rotating products and displays
• Preparing special orders and other deli items
• Operating meat and cheese slicers, oven, fryer, microwave, cutting tools, scale and other Deli equipment
• Assisting in other duties, as assigned

Qualifications:

• food preparation experience
• able to work well with others as a team member
• able to deliver friendly, courteous, prompt customer service
• able to read, write and perform simple math problems
• able to interpret, understand and follow instructions and solve problems
• must pass a background check and drug screening (excluding marijuana)

Starting Pay: $17.25/hour
